Setting Energy Values with FenestraPro 

As regulations are updated and new standards are approved, we think it is best to allow our users to control the standards they consider most appropriate for their project. To facilitate this,  FenestraPro users have the ability to set values for glazing, wall floor, roof U-Values and R-Values.  FenestraPro does not have predefined energy values because values differ from one geographical region to another.

This post includes links to current regulations for various countries and useful websites to find more detailed information. It is recommended that users check current local standards so that the values applied are relevant to a project’s site location. FenestraPro encourages users to strive for the best possible building performance, not only for regulations compliance.

How to meet code compliance using FenestraPro

FenestraPro for Revit allows users to understand their façade energy values, compare it to the necessary code, and then update the construction materials of the façade to meet code. For new users of FenestraPro, we have provided a sample of Energy Codes for New York City. These codes are general guidelines to allow users to begin analysis but values may not always be current to your location or region.
